Durham Indoor Rowing Trials (D.I.R.T.)!

Check-in begins at 8:00 am. The first event begins at 9:00 am
Event categories:
2000 meters. This is the premiere indoor racing distance. It's what the big dogs do at C.R.A.S.H.-B.s and it's a true test of physical fitness and mental toughness.
1000 meters. This is the masters outdoor sprint distance and it's available only to masters-age participants (21+). Yes, 21 makes you a master rower!
500 meters. If you like to blow it out at the beginning, this is the event for you. Don't hold back!
30 minutes. This is for those endurance athletes who can pace themselves and sustain some serious effort for a long time. Whoever rows the most meters in 30 minutes wins.

The Virtual Team Challenge is about to start, it runs from January 1st to the 31st. It's time to start logging some indoor meters, and at the same time get ready for D.I.R.T. in February.
Details:
* Each team rows or skis as many meters as they can collectively between January 1 and midnight January 31 .
* This is a team challenge. You must belong to a team to participate. This is not the same as your club affiliation in your profile.
* Meters must be entered online.
* Only indoor rower or SkiErg meters count (no water or snow meters please).
* Deadline for entering meters: Friday, February 3 at midnight ET.

Boat naming /lunch social

If you are racing on Oct.1st at Falls Lake and want to attend a coached rowing session with Shawn prior to the boat naming be at the lake at 8am.(8-10:30am)

2011 SE Regionals Race Report
Submitted by nmapes on Tue, 07/05/2011 - 8:54pmEight master rowers affiliated with Raleigh Rowing Center traveled to Aiken, SC to
compete in 1000 & 2000 meter sprint races on June 25-26, 2011 at the USRowing
Southeast Regional Championships. Competition started promptly at 7:30 am
Saturday morning on Langley Pond and included 25 teams from Florida, Georgia,
Minnesota, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The
RRC masters team entered 11 events overall and brought home 5 gold medals in the
mixed quad, mixed double, men’s lightweight double, women’s lightweight double,
and the men’s quad. 2 silver medals were won in the women’s quad and men’s
lightweight single; and 3 bronze medals were won in the men’s single, women’s
double, and mixed double. After a hard day of racing on Saturday it was fun to
attend a delicious low country boil hosted by August Rowing Club on the beautiful
Savannah River!

Concept 2 Solstice Challenge

Concept 2 2011 Global Marathon Challenge

If anybody wants to row in this individual challenge all you have to do is row a half marathon (21,097 meters) or full marathon (42,195 meters) before May 15th.
