Memberships run per calendar year, January 1 through December 31. To accommodate different interests, RRC offers several membership types:
Introductory Membership – This membership is for people who have never sculled before. Please see our Instruction page for more information!
Standard Membership – If you are an experienced rower, you can skip the lessons and join as a member. Want to check it out first before committing? Contact us to set up a guest row. Regardless, RRC requires that you go on a “check out” row with one of the club’s coaches or experienced scullers before taking out club equipment. (2010 Dues: $250 or $150 for students.)
Standard Membership with Equipment – This membership is for scullers who wish to rack a private boat at Lake Wheeler. This membership fee includes both dues to RRC and boat storage fees as set by the City of Raleigh. (2010 Dues: $425.)
Visit our Membership page and complete the appropriate application. You may elect to pay your membership dues online or by check. All members must also complete a club waiver before joining and a USRowing waiver annually. These waivers may be completed online. If you prefer to print the waivers and send in hard copies, the waivers are available for download below. Please send any forms or checks to:
Raleigh Rowing Center
PO Box 10864
Raleigh, NC 27605
For more information, please contact us using the online form. To facilitate a quick and correct response to your email, please let us know your experience level. (For example, have you rowed before? If so, when was the last time you were on the water? etc.) Remember, we are happy to take experienced rowers out in a boat to get a better feel for the club!
